About Simply
Penny
Simply Penny’s journey started in 1974 in Manila,
Philippines. It is where we were once known as JEMC Exports, Inc.
Headed by our fearless leader, Josefina “Penny” Capistrano,
we had set out to introduce not only our products but also, to showcase
our beautiful culture and heritage through our designs and workmanship.
In our years of experience, we have developed a reputation for having
an excellent eye for color.
In 1987, we fell in love with a place called Cebu. It is a place
so rich with versatile components which left our imaginations running
wild. It is a place so vibrant and full of creativity. It was that
year when we found our true home.
A new home, a new beginning, a new name: Simply Penny Jewelry, Inc.
It has been 20 years since we were reborn and 30 years of experience
backing us up, making us one of the pioneers in our local fashion
accessories industry.
In 2005, we have yet again, pioneered in creating our office in
Yiwu, China where there is an abundant resource of machine-based
components like glass, semi-precious stones and the like. The merge
of our local hand-made components with Chinese components makes
our designs unique and yet, retains our native look and feel in
our jewelry.
It is once again time for another rebirth as nothing else is constant
but change. And we welcome and embrace change as we embark in a
new chapter only the imagination and our creativity can limit.
